Man, does it look good. It's going to take an effort to keep my expectations (what's that you say, Disappointment?) in check, because I am ready for this movie to be fucking incredible.

I saw that trailer ont he big ol screen on thursday night. Wow wow wow. Kat's sitting next to me and we just about piss ourselves. Looks So Good. My report is that they are sticking extremely close to the source material. And why wouldn't they? It's totally filmable, crystallized gorgeousness, totally intact. I understand your fear, but if you watch the production diary videos on the site (I've been following this flick for some time now) I think you'll be very happy.
Ooo! I bet it looked incredible at the theater! I've seen a few of the production vids and Zack Snyder's blog, and I definitely like what I've seen so far. Visually, I don't think I'll have any complaints. Translating the story to the screen, otoh, I'm not so confident about. But, for the moment at least, I'm content to expect the movie will be pretty, and not be much concerned with the substance of it.
